Try another cable and another TV port

Notice what it does when you switch it on
Does the fan start? Does a light come on, change colour or pulse? Does it beep? A console that tries to start has a different fault from one that does nothing at all, and the exact pattern points to the part.

Not with most repairs. A new HDMI port, a clean, a fan, a charging port or a disc drive does not touch the storage. Only a fault in the storage itself, or a console that has to be reset to recover it, puts saves at risk, and we tell you before doing anything of that kind. Saves that have been backed up to your online account are safe regardless.
